Lovely looking Pioneers. I’m a big supporter of large bookshelf speakers as computer speakers

Beat up CS-G403s I pulled out of my girlfriend’s basement being driven by an SX-205. Nothing fancy at all. I have a NAD C-356BEE that I need to drag upstairs. Has the integrated DAC module, even :D Kind of disappointed in the bass from these CS-G403s. Doesn’t extend as low as my little Genius 3-way speakers you see sitting on top of my right channel. I think the crossovers might have degraded or something.

Mine isn’t particularly fancy either, but I like it better than the Altec Lansing setup it replaced, even though it was pretty good. Ooh I’ve never heard an NAD, but I read very good things. Integrated DAC is pretty sweet.

It’s an $800 receiver new, still being produced. Got it free at an ewaste recycler :D I just need to buy some cheap DAC for this Pioneer so I can put it down in the home theater and bring the NAD to my desk.

Nice! That’s a really solid score. My favourite deal I’ve got is my Infinity Kappa 7.1s that I traded for a small box of Lego :p

You must really not like your monitors. The magnets on those floor speakers will wreak habit on them.

Y not one car per monitor? Or did you sell some?

I’m down to just the NB. The Nissan is still sitting in the driveway but I’ve been partially paid for it, just waiting for the rest.

People really overestimate how strong the magnets in bookcase speakers are.
